FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- As was the hope when they released him off their 53-man roster Thursday, the New England have signed defensive tackle Casey Walker to their practice squad Saturday. To make room for Walker, the Patriots released linebacker Ja'Gared Davis off the practice squad.
The 6-foot-1, 325-pound Walker was waived Thursday when the Patriots signed running back LeGarrette Blount. He had played in five games for the Patriots this season (1 start) and totaled 10 tackles and one sack.
Davis has been with the Patriots the last two seasons, splitting time between the practice squad and active roster (6 games).
