With Oklahoma and USC standing out, Five-star Marvin Wilson to narrow choices soon

Defensive tackle Marvin Wilson, the No. 7 overall prospect, released his top 10 in early June and says the Houston prospect likely won’t narrow that list any further until later in the summer.

Alabama, Florida State, LSU, Texas, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, UCLA, USC, Ohio State and Oklahoma all made the current top 10 and two of those teams have been making some recent headway with the ESPN 300 prospect.

“Oklahoma and USC have been making a push lately,” he said. “I’m going to visit USC on July 23 and that will be my last unofficial visit.”

Wilson will take that visit to USC and then sit down with his family to release a top five. While he says he doesn’t want to say any teams who will definitely make that list just yet, he is already thinking about what schools will get official visits.

“I’m going to take some of my official visits during the season and then I’ll probably go to Florida State after the season,” he said. “USC will probably get an official because it’s far away. The closer schools I won’t take officials, like the in-state schools or Oklahoma because they’re so close.”
