It was an eventful weekend in the Big Ten, both on the field and on the recruiting trail. Here is a look at the biggest recruiting news from the past week.

Biggest commitment:

There were really only two commitments in the Big Ten with four-star safety Eric Burrell committing to Wisconsin on Monday and athlete Tyler Johnson to Minnesota.

Burrell gives the Badgers four commitments ranked as four-stars and 21 total in the 2016 class.

Biggest visit:

Michigan had a huge recruiting weekend with Ohio State running back commit Kareem Walker, Nebraska commit Quayshon Alexander, Penn State commits Lavert Hill and Quinn Nordin and uncommitted prospects Devin Bush Jr. and Jacob Mathis all on campus for the win against Northwestern.

Rutgers had an impressive list as well with No.1 ranked Rashan Gary, 2017 prospects Corey Bolds and Joshua Paschal and 2018 quarterback Allan Walters in attendance for the game against Michigan State among others.

Nebraska was another team with some big visitors on campus this past weekend in Georgia linebacker commit Jaleel Laguins and Iowa commit Noah Fant, as well as wide receiver C.J. Riley.

Biggest offer:

Rutgers offered 2017 Ayinde Eley, who took a visit for the Michigan State game and is starting to rack up some bigger offers.

Iowa offered 2017 prospects Tyshon Fogg and Kasim Hill, both big East Coast prospects with a lot of Big Ten interest.

Northwestern offered ESPN Junior 300 defensive lineman Dalyn Wade-Perry.

Nebraska also offered 2016 Zach Farrar, a wide receiver from Texas.

Biggest question:

One of the bigger questions in the conference has to do with prospects flipping commitments. There are quite a few recruits committed to other schools, some within the conference, who could flip to a Big Ten team.

Michigan has its targets on Walker, Hill, Alexander and Nordin among others. Hill said he will be back on Michigan’s campus for the Michigan State game and there is a chance Nordin is as well.

Walker isn’t doing a lot of talking after his Michigan visit, but did release a statement about where he’s currently at.

Michigan State is also looking at an Ohio State running back in George Hill, who recently took a trip to East Lansing.

Nebraska has its sights set on Fant and Laguins and isworking to flip the two prospects from Iowa and Georgia respectively.

We’re not even to November yet and there could already be a ton of movement within the conference. It’s something to keep an eye on, because a few teams could look very different by December.
