Elite 11 finals roster is set

The last invite to the Elite 11 finals was handed out Monday when Penn State quarterback commit Jake Zembiec was announced on Twitter. Zembiec will be joined by 17 other quarterbacks in Oregon on July 5 in a five-day competition to name the final Elite 11.

Zembiec isn’t the only Big Ten quarterback commit in the finals, as he is joined by Rutgers commit Anthony Russo, Maryland commit Dwayne Haskins Jr., Michigan commit Brandon Peters, Michigan State commit Messiah DeWeaver and Nebraska commit Patrick O'Brien.

The Big Ten will make up the largest finals contingency of any conference with six of the 18 spots. The SEC holds the next-most spots, with five commitments in the final group.

Shea Patterson (Ole Miss), Brandon McIlwain (South Carolina), Jacob Eason (Georgia), Feleipe' Franks (LSU) and Jarrett Guarantano (Tennessee) represent the SEC.

Shane Buechele (Texas), Nick Starkel (Oklahoma State), Jett Duffey (Texas Tech), K.J. Costello (Stanford), Malik Henry (Florida State) and uncommitted prospects Jawon Pass and Dillon Sterling-Cole make up the rest of the roster.

The 18 prospects will compete in competitions throughout the week, working toward being named the final Elite 11 quarterbacks.
