ESPN 300 Nigel Knott catches ball upside down

There has been a run on football players catching passes one-handed while doing backflips on social media in recent days and weeks.

On Thursday, ESPN 300 defensive back Nigel Knott tossed his name in the hat for the most impressive acrobatic catch with this gem posted on Vine and Twitter.

Knott, who will play in the 2016 Under Armour All-America Game, has officially taken the flip catch to another level. The son of former Ole Miss standout safety David Knott, the versatile corner and safety prospect has offers from Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Oregon, Alabama, Florida State, LSU, Florida, Oklahoma and Georgia.

The big question is where does Knott’s jaw-dropping flash of athleticism rank?

Class of 2017 defensive back Marco Wilson’s one-handed backflip catch has been retweeted more than 1,000 times and gained national and worldwide attention.
