Scout's take: DT Kendell Jones to Alabama

ESPN 300 defensive tackle Kendell Jones is on board with the Crimson Tide. Here's how Jones fits into Alabama's plans:

What he brings: This ESPN 300 big man has the nickname “Hulk” and it’s a fairly appropriate one as Jones is a physically impressive prospect. This is the type of player you want getting off the bus first when your team rolls into town as he is a massive individual with a wonderful combination of height and weight. And he carries his size well with a thick, muscular build. Big and strong, he can use those physical attributes to be a run stuffing presence. When he stays low he can hold ground and eat up space and with good initial burst he is capable at times of exploding out and knocking blockers back with ability to press and push them aside. In passing situations when he fires out low he can quickly drive blockers back and collapse the pocket. The four-star has limited range and has room to still improve, but you can’t teach his type of size and he has the ability to be a real handful in the A-gaps.
