Signings that could shake up the 2016 class rankings

Going into any given class, you can always count on the usual suspects to land their fair share of the elite prospects. Kentucky and Duke are seemingly battling for the No. 1 recruiting class every year, Kansas and Arizona always get their collection of guys, then there’s the likes of North Carolina, Ohio State, Texas, Syracuse, etc.

But 2015 saw a couple of surprises break into the elite of the elite when it came to recruiting classes. LSU landed No. 1 Ben Simmons and five-star guard Antonio Blakeney en route to the No. 3 class, while California, Texas A&M and Marquette all broke into the top 10 nationally.

In fact, of the 19 five-star prospects in the 2015 class, more than half went to schools that would be considered non-traditional powers. This was a stark contrast to 2014, when all but two or three of the top 20 prospects went to blue blood programs -- or schools just below that tier.

What will we see in the 2016 class? Here are several potential commitments that could shake up the recruiting landscape -- while also having at least an outside chance of actually occurring.
