Given the rich program history of Kansas, it's a bit of an uncomfortable time in Lawrence right now. The Jayhawks were run off the court by Kentucky last week, losing 72-40 and looking like a far inferior bunch next to the loaded Wildcats. Of course, it's only three games into the season, so the panic is balanced by the caveat that it's still very early in the season.

On the recruiting trail, it's much of the same. Kansas exited the early signing period with zero commitments -- and top-100 options are dwindling.
