NBA Rumor Central: Thomas Robinson's future with the Nets

Forward Thomas Robinson signed a veteran minimum contract with the Brooklyn Nets last July that included a player option worth $1.05 million for 2016-17. Robinson has until June 15 to make his decision, and according to a report from the San Antonio Express-News, the four-year NBA veteran will decline the option, so he can join the 2016 free agent market.

Could Robinson end up signing a deal with the San Antonio Spurs?

Jabari Young writes: "Spurs GM R.C. Buford has been a fan of the former University of Kansas standout for quite sometime. Buford has ties to the school from his days as an assistant coach under Larry Brown. Robinson also played with LaMarcus Aldridge for two seasons with the Portland Trail Blazers."

For the 2015-16 season, Robinson played in 71 games and averaged 12.9 minutes, 4.3 points and 5.1 rebounds.
