NBA Rumor Central: James Anderson moving on

Guard James Anderson signed a veteran minimum contract last July with the Sacramento Kings that included a player option for the 2016-17 season. Anderson opted for free agency last month by declining the option worth $1.13 million, so he could look at all his options in the NBA and overseas. Apparently, Anderson will play in Europe next season.

According to pro basketball reporter David Pick, Anderson has received offers from Spanish sides FC Barcelona and Real Madrid and the Turkish League's Fenerbahce Istanbul. Anderson will likely make more money and have a larger role with his new team than he would have had if he had stayed with the Kings next season.

Anderson, a five-year NBA veteran, played in 51 games this season while averaging 3.5 points and 1.7 rebounds.
