UPDATE: According to Vince Ellis of the Detroit Free Press, Monroe said on Friday that he fully expects to play before season ends on April 15. No update though on when that might happen.

Greg Monroe has missed the last five games due to what the Detroit Pistons are listing as a right knee strain and Wednesday Stan Van Gundy could not give the media a day when his starting power forward might return to the active roster.
