Two factors working against McGary

Had Michigan big man Mitch McGary entered the 2013 NBA draft, there's a chance he could have been selected somewhere in the back half of the lottery. That's how much his stock rose following his impressive play in the NCAA tournament last spring when the Wolverines advanced all the way to the championship game.

Now, following a sophomore season essentially lost to a back injury (he played only 197 minutes), McGary is a big question mark. A spot in the first round would very much be in doubt if he elected to go pro, a decision he still must make, but the back injury is only one of several factors working against the high-effort power forward/center.
