Al Jefferson: I'm suiting up

UPDATE: Al Jefferson, wearing a walking boot, spoke to the media on Monday and said he will start in Game 2 against Miami on Wednesday, despite the pain in his foot.

“I’m suiting up,” Jefferson told The Charlotte Observer. “It’ll take more than that to make me sit down."

Jefferson needed two injections to help with the pain and that will likely continue for the duration of the playoffs, which may just be three more games.

Starting center Al Jefferson is the Charlotte Bobcats best player and he was playing well in Game 1 against the Miami Heat on Sunday, but suffered an injury to his left foot later in the first quarter. The issue clearly affected him for the rest of the day. Jefferson is planning to be ready for Game 2 on Wednesday despite the pain.
