Report: Expectations high for Aaron Gordon

The Orlando Magic selected forward Aaron Gordon with the 4th pick in the 2014 NBA draft. Gordon's rookie season started off badly due to a broken foot in November, which limited him to 47 games. Heading into his second season, the Magic are hoping he can play well enough to earn himself a spot with the starting group. From Brian Schmitz of the Orlando Sentinel:

"This season, they hope he can crack the starting lineup at either power forward or small forward – which ever spot Tobias Harris doesn’t play. While he would not immediately provide the 3-point threat like veteran Channing Frye can at the 4, Gordon could help the Magic’s porous defense. ... The Magic desperately need to improve their defense – and Gordon could be vital to Scott Skiles’ plan."

In the 47 appearances last season, Gordon averaged 5.2 points and 3. rebounds.
