Raptors newcomer Scola solid in Argentine rout

Power forward Luis Scola, signed by the Toronto Raptors in July, scored 11 points in Argentina's 96-64 blasting of Cuba on Thursday in the FIBA Americas Olympic qualifier in Mexico.

Argentina is unbeaten in three Group B games with one to play.

The 6-foot-9 Scola, 35, averaged 9.4 points and 6.5 rebounds in 20.5 minutes per game for the Indiana Pacers last season. He primarily came off the bench in his two seasons with the Pacers after starting for six seasons with the Houston Rockets and Phoenix Suns.
