Report: Al Horford likes Hawks' offseason moves

Atlanta Hawks center Al Horford is excited about the additions the team has made this summer, Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution writes.

In the interview, Horford touches on the loss of DeMarre Carroll and how the team's new players will need to help fill that void. He also singles out Tiago Splitter, whom the Hawks acquired in a trade with the San Antonio Spurs in early July.

Here's a look at what Horford had to say about the team's moves:

"'We are excited about Tiago being able to come in,' Horford told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. 'His experience, he won a championship with the Spurs, and his leadership we feel is going to be great for our team.' ... 'I feel like [Tim Hardaway Jr.] has a lot of potential. Once he figures everything out, I think he is going to be really good for us. It’s [exciting] to have those guys. And even some of the younger guys. Justin Holiday and Edy Tavares, I’m excited to have both of them, too. We know they will have to work, but I’m sure they’ll have an opportunity to play at some point. I’m excited. Obviously with DeMarre [Carroll] being gone, we are going to need some other guys to step in and try to help alleviate everything that DeMarre did for us.'"
