Magic announce 2015 preseason schedule

The Orlando Magic announced their full 2015 preseason schedule on Tuesday. Orlando will open and close the preseason with games at home at the Amway Center.

First-year head coach Scott Skiles will make his debut on Oct. 3 when his squad hosts the Charlotte Hornets.

The Magic will also play preseason home games against the Miami Heat (Oct. 13), New Orleans Pelicans (Oct. 21) and Memphis Grizzlies (Oct. 23).

The preseason schedule is highlighted by the Magic’s first-ever trip to South America when it faces Brazilian powerhouse Flamengo on Oct. 17 in Rio de Janeiro.  The trip is a part of the NBA Global Games promotional series.

Here is the full preseason schedule for the Magic (all times Eastern):

Saturday, Oct. 3 vs. Hornets (Orlando, Fla.), 7 p.m.

Wednesday, Oct. 7 vs. Heat (Louisville, Ky.), 7:30 p.m.

Friday, Oct. 9 vs. Indiana Pacers (Indianapolis, Ind.), 7 p.m.

Sunday, Oct. 11 vs. Houston Rockets (Hidalgo, Texas), 8 p.m.

Tuesday, Oct. 13 vs. Heat (Orlando, Fla.), 7 p.m.

Saturday, Oct. 17 vs. Flamengo (Rio De Janeiro, Brazil), 5 p.m.

Wednesday, Oct. 21 vs. Pelicans (Orlando, Fla.), 7 p.m.

Friday, Oct. 23 vs. Grizzlies (Orlando, Fla.), 7 p.m.
