Report: Mike Muscala honored by Patriot League

A pair of Atlanta Hawks were honored on Monday for their basketball careers at Bucknell University. Center Mike Muscala and assistant coach Charles Lee were both named to the Patriot League 25th Anniversary Team.

Muscala, who is entering his third season in the NBA, is the only player in Bucknell history to surpass 2,000 career points. Lee, a second-year assistant for the Hawks, was the Patriot League Player of the Year in 2006, and was a key part of Bucknell's first ever NCAA tournament win. Chris Vivlamore of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution elaborated on both players' time at Bucknell:

"Muscala ... is the school’s all-time leading scorer with 2,036 points, the only player to eclipse 2,000 points. He finished as the second-leading rebounder with 1,093 boards. He was a four-time All-Patriot League selection. He was a two-time league MVP. As a senior in 2013, he also was named the league’s Defensive Player of the Year ... In Lee’s junior season, the Bison captured the school’s first NCAA Tournament win with an upset of Kansas. Lee scored 15 points in the game. Lee was the Patriot League Player of the Year as a senior in 2006 ... He finished with 1,147 career points."
