Podcast: Monroe wasn't the 'right fit' in Detroit

Detroit Pistons head coach and general manager Stan Van Gundy stopped by The Lowe Post to talk about balancing life between both roles. Van Gundy explains how he relies on his staff to help him make the correct decisions for the franchise.

One of the key decisions of the summer for the Pistons was the resigning of Reggie Jackson to a five-year $80 million contract. Another important move they made was not resigning Greg Monroe. The five-year center signed a three-year maximum deal worth approximately $50 million with the Milwaukee Bucks.

Van Gundy says Monroe was a great player, but wasn't the "right fit" with Detroit.
