Report: Dudley most significant Wizards addition

The Washington Wizards have added Gary Neal, Jared Dudley and Alan Anderson during the offseason. They also watched 10-time All-Star Paul Pierce rejoin his coach in Boston, Doc Rivers, with the Los Angeles Clippers.

Neal, Dudley and Anderson are all well traveled and in their early 30s. Colby Giancubeno of Hoops Habit tabs Dudley as the most significant of those acquisitions:

"Shooting 39 percent for his career from three, he will jump into the role that the Wizards found so effective last season in the playoffs when they played small and put Pierce at power forward. Playing smaller will allow [John] Wall to have more space to operate and penetrate, creating open shots for everyone else."

Dudley, a 6-foot-7 swingman who helped the Milwaukee Bucks earn a surprising playoff berth this past season, is expected to miss three to four months following back surgery to repair a herniated disk.
