Report: Spurs will make something of Fredette

Jimmer Fredette was selected with the 10th selection in the 2011 NBA draft and he has not lived up to the expectations after four years in the league. Fredette recently signed with the San Antonio Spurs and this move should help him become a better player. From Kurt Kragthorpe of The Salt Lake Tribune:

"There's just something about the Spurs' culture that gives people opportunities and sets them up to succeed. ... Fredette will get every chance to prove himself in San Antonio. In saying that, I would frame this as a miss-or-make shot for him in his fifth NBA season. The reality is that if he can't succeed within the framework of a team that will showcase his strengths, he'll probably have to give up his NBA pursuits and finish his career in Europe. But I'll be surprised if he fails with the Spurs. That belief reflects both my respect for him a player who's eager to fit in and my admiration for the Spurs' organization. Popovich and general manager R.C. Buford have a knack for finding and developing players and staff members — including Jazz GM Dennis Lindsey, formerly Buford's assistant."
