Report: No logo change for Jazz this season

There has been some talk recently that the Utah Jazz are looking to update their logo. According to a high ranking official, no logo change will occur for the 2015-16 season. From Aaron Falk of The Salt Lake Tribune:

"New Miller Sports and Entertainment president Steve Starks made that much clear on Twitter over the weekend. 'Appreciate the interest in the Jazz logo,' Starks wrote. 'No changes for the upcoming season and still discussing options about future logos. Stay tuned…' It seems Starks was responding to a KSL.com report from last week that said the franchise was looking to stop using the current mountains logo, making the musical note the team’s primary logo and creating a new secondary emblem entirely. 'Ultimately, that will reduce confusion and result in improved merchandise sales. Data shows that apparel with the primary logo sells significantly less than apparel with the note logo,' according to the report, which state a change could come either this offseason or next. Given Starks’ tweet, it seems it will be the latter if it happens."
