Drummond's last 2 seasons reminiscent of Rodman

Andre Drummond had 12 rebounds, including six at the offensive end, to help the Detroit Pistons beat the New York Knicks 112-90 on Wednesday.

Drummond finished with 437 offensive rebounds, three fewer than he collected last season. His total of 877 offensive rebounds over the last two seasons is the most in the NBA in consecutive seasons since Dennis Rodman had 890 over the 1991-92 and 1992-93 seasons, when he also played for the Pistons, the Elias Sports Bureau notes.

Drummond’s performance comes when offensive rebounding is a dying art: 25.1 percent of rebounds this season were collected by the team that missed the shot, the lowest such percentage since the NBA began recording such data in the 1973-74 season.
