The Katy Perry Experience, Gameday Style

She showed up with a full supply of props, including a plateful of corn dogs which she later flung. She stole the Crimson Tide mascot head off Lee Corso when he picked Alabama to beat Ole Miss. She stormed the field and celebrated with Ole Miss fans after the Rebels' victory -- which she correctly predicted.

Sigh. If only Katy Perry had any fun on her visit to ESPN's College Gameday.

We're kidding, of course. Clearly, as this tweet from Perry shows, she thoroughly enjoyed the Rebels' win over rival Alabama.

Perry's manager, Bradford Cobb, and her musical mentor, producer and songwriter Glen Ballard, are both Ole Miss graduates. So when time and her touring schedule finally allowed -- she had a show in Memphis the next day -- Perry dropped in on the Gameday crew and quickly became one of the more memorable guests to ever visit the show.

When the Rebels pulled out the win in the fourth quarter, Perry was among fans who stormed the field at Vaught–Hemingway Stadium.

Perry said she never went to college, but as this bit of postgame celebration shows, she's clearly got the spirit.
