MLB Rumor Central: Rangers interested in Rich Hill?

Add the Texas Rangers to the list of teams interested in Oakland Athletics left-hander Rich Hill.

Ken Rosenthal of FoxSports.com reports the Rangers are looking at Hill as an option to bolster their injury-plagued rotation. Derek Holland and Colby Lewis remain sidelined, but Yu Darvish is scheduled to return from the disabled list on Saturday.

Hill is 9-3 with a 2.25 ERA over 13 starts and is signed to a modest one-year, $6 million deal. The 36-year-old has looked fine in two outings since coming off the disabled list, but was scratched from Friday’s scheduled start against the Blue Jays due to a blister.

The Red Sox were one of the teams linked to Hill, but they may be out of the mix following Thursday’s acquisition of Drew Pomeranz from the Padres.
