Following a season in which he struck out in over 40 percent of his plate appearances, the Chicago Cubs were hoping for some improvement from Javier Baez this spring. Yet, in his first 42 plate appearances, Baez has fanned one-third of the time, leading some observers to believe a trip to the minors would be forthcoming.
