According to Paul Hoynes of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, the Cleveland Indians have indeed decided to "exercise Mike Aviles' $3.5 million club option for 2015," a move that was very much in doubt due to the team's desire to keep their payroll -- which in 2014 was at its highest point since 2001 -- in check.
