MINNEAPOLIS -- The Minnesota Vikings have three fifth-year option decisions to make by the end of Monday on their 2013 first-rounders, and they've already let two of those players know their options will be picked up.

The Vikings told cornerback Xavier Rhodes they will exercise his fifth-year option on Monday morning, his agent Sunny Shah said in a text message. The Vikings also informed defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd they will pick up his option, according to a league source.

It was a foregone conclusion the Vikings would pick up options on both players, who have become mainstays in Minnesota's defense. Rhodes started all 16 games the last two years, becoming the team's top cover corner and regularly being asked to shadow top receivers like Calvin Johnson, Alshon Jeffery and Julio Jones. Floyd has dealt with injury issues the last two years, missing four games last season when he had a piece of cartilage removed from his knee, but he's been impressive enough when healthy that the Vikings decided to pick up his option, which is currently guaranteed for injury only. The options for both Floyd -- the 23rd overall pick in the 2013 draft -- and Rhodes (who went two picks later) would become fully guaranteed on the third day of the 2017 league year.

Floyd is due to make $6.757 million on the fifth-year option salary in 2017, while Rhodes would make $8.026 million.
