MINNEAPOLIS -- If any Minnesota Vikings fans are looking for their break into the film industry, the opportunity might be drawing near.

A word of caution: This particular opportunity won't necessarily paint your team in a positive light.

The writers of "The Sixty Yard Line," an independent film set in Green Bay the year Brett Favre signed with the Vikings, are looking for four or five "true Vikings fans or Favre/Vikings fans" to play the antagonists in a key scene in the movie, according to the Green Bay Press-Gazette. The crew shot for 15 days in the Green Bay area last fall and is returning Feb. 15-18 to film a party scene at a house near Lambeau Field.

The movie, which features current Packers fullback John Kuhn as well as former Packers Mark Tauscher and Ahman Green, is a romantic comedy about a Packers fan whose love for his team complicates his relationship with his girlfriend. The Vikings scene includes a family or group of friends who traveled to Lambeau Field for an away game -- ostensibly Favre's famous return to his former home for the Vikings' 38-26 win on Nov. 1, 2009.

It all sounds a bit like "Fever Pitch," the Boston Red Sox-based on-screen adaptation of Nick Hornby's book about his Arsenal fandom. The Vikings/Packers rivalry has probably never burned hotter than when Favre went to Minnesota, though, so the film's take on that season could be intriguing. Favre's relationship with the Packers again seems copacetic after his number was retired last year and he was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame last weekend. But what fun is that?
