Harrison Smith, Everson Griffen questionable for Falcons game

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- Minnesota Vikings safety Harrison Smith and defensive end Everson Griffen returned to practice on Friday after sitting out the first two days of the week, and while both were listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons, it seems likely both will play.

Smith, who injured his left knee on a collision with Terence Newman in last Sunday's loss to the Green Bay Packers, missed only five snaps with the injury and was with the Vikings' first-team defense on Friday. "I'm not trying to do too much -- just getting ready," Smith said Friday.

Griffen also was with the first-team defense in practice, and said he expects to play on Sunday with hip and shoulder injuries. Rookie cornerback Trae Waynes was the only other player the Vikings listed as questionable; he went from a limited participant in Thursday's practice to not participating on Friday, and it seems possible the 11th overall pick will sit out with an ankle injury. If Waynes is inactive, the Vikings would likely put Josh Robinson on their game-day roster for the first time this season after Robinson returned from the physically unable to perform list.

The Vikings listed everyone else on their injury report as probable, including quarterback Teddy Bridgewater (left shoulder), linebacker Anthony Barr (hand), linebacker Eric Kendricks (ribs), safety Robert Blanton (ankle), defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd (ankle) and tackle Matt Kalil (toe).
