EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- It appears the bye week could be coming at a good time for the Minnesota Vikings' wide receivers.

Mike Wallace was among the four players not practicing for the Vikings as they went through a light workout on Tuesday morning, and wide receiver Charles Johnson -- who didn't play Sunday because of a rib injury -- left after the team stretch at the beginning of practice. Jarius Wright was back at practice after playing just one snap Sunday, but with all three of the Vikings' top receivers hurting to some degree, the group will certainly welcome the chance to heal up this weekend.

Wallace took himself out of Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos after stretching to make a sideline catch late in the fourth quarter. He immediately signaled for a substitute, but appeared to jog off the field without much trouble. General manager Rick Spielman would not comment on Wallace's status, other than to say the receiver was at the team facility on Tuesday.

Safety Andrew Sendejo (knee) and defensive end Justin Trattou (foot) were also absent from Tuesday's practice; both missed Sunday's game in Denver because of their injuries. Effectively, Wallace was the only new absence on Tuesday.

The Vikings' only practice of the week is on Tuesday, as players and coaches will scatter for the remainder of the bye week. Minnesota's next practice will be on Monday morning.
