Matt Asiata, Greg Jennings, Sharrif Floyd miss practice

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- The Minnesota Vikings were again without running back Matt Asiata and wide receiver Greg Jennings on Thursday, and defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd missed practice with a knee injury that limited him on Wednesday. Coach Mike Zimmer said, though, he expected all three players would try to practice on Friday.

Asiata, who is trying to return from a concussion, did some work on the side during the open portion of Vikings practice. So did Jennings, who injured his ribs on Sunday against Chicago. Floyd, who is dealing with a knee injury, was not seen at practice, though Zimmer said "he's just got a bruise, not anything real serious."

Running back Jerick McKinnon (low back) and wide receiver Jarius Wright (hamstring) returned to practice in a limited capacity on Thursday, as did tackle Mike Harris (ankle). Cornerback Xavier Rhodes (ankle) was limited for the second straight day. Defensive end Everson Griffen (neck) and linebacker Anthony Barr (knee) were full participants after being limited on Wednesday.
