Vikings: Brian Robison returns, Chandler Harnish has Lisfranc injury

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- The Minnesota Vikings got defensive end Brian Robison back on the practice field on Thursday, a day after Robison missed practice with a bruised gluteal muscle. They also saw linebacker Gerald Hodges return to practice as a full participant after missing the last two games with a hamstring injury, and among the 53 players on the Vikings' active roster, only tight end Kyle Rudolph -- who is still recovering from a sports hernia -- did not participate in at least part of Thursday's practice.

Things aren't looking quite as positive on the injury front as far as the Vikings' practice squad is concerned. Quarterback Chandler Harnish, who was signed at the end of September and was on the active roster Oct. 2 against Green Bay, suffered a Grade 1 Lisfranc injury, coach Mike Zimmer said. The Vikings will look at several other practice-squad quarterback options on Friday. A Grade 1 Lisfranc injury isn't thought to be serious, and Harnish could be back on the practice field soon, but at the moment, the Vikings have only two healthy quarterbacks on their roster.

Robison, cornerback Jabari Price (hamstring), tight end Chase Ford (foot), cornerback Josh Robinson (ankle) and defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd (ankle/knee) were limited in practice for the Vikings. Safety Antone Exum (ankle/shoulder) returned to practice in full.

Zimmer also said that Rudolph is still a "couple weeks" from returning, adding it's "possible" the tight end could be back on the field for the Vikings' first game after their bye week on Nov. 16 against Chicago.
