Best available head-coaching jobs

With five NFL teams -- the Browns, Lions, Titans, Redskins and Vikings-- looking for head coaches as of Saturday afternoon, it's time to update our rankings showing which destinations candidates should find most appealing.

The list will surely grow as time passes, and we'll update it accordingly. For now, though, here are the choicest vacancies in the eyes of those around the NFL:

1. Detroit Lions

The Lions rank No. 1 on our projected list because they have patient ownership and winning talent on both sides of the ball. Not all personnel evaluators are entirely sold on Matthew Stafford as a franchise quarterback, but there is great potential, at least.
