Updating Dolphins and #NFLRank

ESPN.com has put together a terrific project this week called "NFL Rank," in which we rate the top 100 NFL players on offense and defense.

We are currently through No. 50-100. The top 10 players on offense and defense will be revealed on Aug. 29.

Here is the latest on where Dolphins players have ranked so far:

Offense

Defense

There are not a lot of Miami players on the list so far. But these four players are deserving and all made it to the Pro Bowl.

I’m most surprised with how low Albert is rated. He made the Pro Bowl last year at left tackle -- a prime position. Albert also was one of the reasons Kansas City was able to make a major turnaround, won 11 games and made the playoffs last season. Grimes also is rated a bit low, in my opinion. But Grimes doesn’t chase the spotlight and doesn’t get a lot of national attention.

Both Starks (No. 96) and Pouncey (No. 68) are placed respectably to match their talent and production. Remember to continue to check out ESPN.com for more players as we continue to rank the Top 100.
