          Morning take: It was questionable if Rizzi would return after interim Dan Campbell did not get the top job. But rookie head coach Adam Gase saw the value in Rizzi, who is a good coach and well-liked in the locker room.

          Morning take: Starting defensive end and sacks leader Olivier Vernon is the biggest name on Miami’s list. He will cash in big somewhere, although it likely won’t be in Miami.

          Morning take: Kelvin Sheppard, an unrestricted free agent, was inconsistent against the run and pass last season. Miami was ranked 28th against the run and struggled on the second level.
