Dolphins TE Arthur Lynch on roster bubble

The Miami Dolphins, on paper, have their most talented collection of players since head coach Joe Philbin took over four seasons ago. This means Miami’s front office and coaching staff will have plenty of tough decisions to make this summer.

This week I will take a look at some of the interesting players on the roster bubble. Next is a second-year player who is coming off injury his rookie year.

Bubble player: Arthur Lynch

Position: Tight end

Experience: Two seasons

Analysis: Lynch is in a tight spot. The 2014 fifth-round pick made zero impact in his rookie year due to injury. Now, Lynch must work twice as hard to show the coaching staff that he can stay healthy and deserves a spot on Miami’s 53-man roster. Lynch hasn’t done much in organized team activities or minicamp to stand out, which is not a good sign. The Dolphins have some depth at tight end with starter Jordan Cameron, who is a former Pro Bowler who signed with Miami in free agency, and dependable backup Dion Sims. Those two are locks and leaves one spot remaining at tight end between Lynch, Jake Stoneburner and Gerell Robinson. Based on what I’ve seen this spring, it's a toss-up between these three. One of these tight ends must step up in training camp to earn one of the final roster spots.

Chances of making 53-man roster: 33 percent
