Examining Todd McShay's latest Dolphins' mock draft

The NFL draft is about one month away, which means there will be plenty of speculation and predictions for the Miami Dolphins in the next few weeks.

ESPN college scouting director and NFL draft expert Todd McShay provided his latest mock draft on Monday. Here is what McShay predicts will happen with the Dolphins at No. 14 overall.

McShay’s pick: WR Breshad Perriman

School: UCF

2014 stats: 50 receptions, 1,044 yards, nine touchdowns

Analysis: This is a reach for Miami. Sure, the Dolphins need receivers. But I just don’t see Miami overextending for Perriman at No. 14 overall. Perriman, who has good speed and big-play capability, is a quality option for Miami in the second round. If there is a run on receivers in the top 13 picks and prospects such as Kevin White, DeVante Parker and Amari Cooper are off the board, Miami is much better off getting a top prospect at another position as opposed to reaching for a second-tier receiver.
