Another look at the Dolphins' tough 2015 opponents

It’s playoffs or bust for the 2015 Miami Dolphins. Expectations are high following back-to-back 8-8 seasons and the $114-million acquisition of Pro Bowl defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh.

The Dolphins are trying to end a six-year playoff drought. But they must navigate a tough schedule to accomplish that feat.

Here is another look at Miami's schedule this upcoming season:

For starters, the AFC East has been extremely busy making improvements this offseason. In addition to the Dolphins, the Bills traded for Pro Bowl tailback LeSean McCoy and signed receiver Percy Harvin and former Miami tight end Charles Clay. The Jets signed Pro Bowl cornerback Darrelle Revis in free agency and traded for receiver Brandon Marshall. All these moves will make the AFC East very competitive next season, with the reigning Super Bowl champion Patriots as the clear favorite.

Miami also will face six non-division opponents coming off winning seasons. The Colts (11-5), Ravens (10-6) and Cowboys (12-4) all made the playoffs in 2014. The Eagles (10-6), Texans (9-7) and Chargers (9-7) also finished with winning records last season, but just missed wild-card berths. Miami will play 10 games next season against teams with winning records in 2014.

This is not an easy slate for the Dolphins this upcoming season, especially with just seven true home games. Miami will face the Jets in London next season, which means it will have nine games away from Sun Life Stadium next season.

The Dolphins must step up against a multitude of tough opponents and circumstances in a must-win year for many in the organization.
