Morning take: Will Charles Clay stay?

Here are the most interesting Miami Dolphins stories Tuesday from around the Web:

  • Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald writes the Dolphins aim to keep tight end Charles Clay in 2015.

Morning take: The one-year transition tag will cost $7.071 million. That's a costly price, but Miami hopes that keeps teams away from making significant offers.

  • Alain Poupart of the Dolphins team site takes a look at the linebacker position in free agency.

Morning take: Miami must make improvements in this area, especially after finishing 24th against the run last season. The Dolphins also have several linebacker options in the draft.

  • Josh Alper of Profootballtalk.com writes about the release of Dolphins backup offensive lineman Nate Garner.

Morning take: Garner saved $1.65 million by releasing the versatile offensive lineman. Miami needs the cap room to pursue other free agents.

  • Omar Kelly of the Sun Sentinel writes there is a chance free-agent receiver Brian Hartline could return to Miami.

Morning take: The Dolphins did not want to pay Hartline’s high salary. But I expect Hartline to get a solid contract elsewhere in an offense where he’s a better fit.
