Prediction: Dolphins will beat Chargers

The Miami Dolphins (4-3) finally have momentum and are on their first two-game winning streak of the season. But will that momentum be enough for Miami to pick up a quality victory against the San Diego Chargers (5-3)?

This is a big measuring-stick game for Miami, which is 1-3 this season against opponents that currently have winning records. Miami also struggles at home, losing two of its three games this season at Sun Life Stadium and six of its past 11. But the Dolphins usually have success against West Coast teams at home, and the Chargers haven't won a game in Miami since the 1981 season.

This is an interesting matchup of strength vs. strength. The Dolphins have the NFL's third-best pass defense to combat Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers. San Diego doesn't turn over the football or beat itself. But Miami's defense is coming into this game with a lot of momentum and could make just enough plays to pull out a close victory.

Prediction: Dolphins 23, Chargers 21
