Morning take: Dolphins seek consistency

LONDON -- Here are the most interesting Miami Dolphins stories from around the Web:

  • Omar Kelly of the Sun Sentinel writes Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin is seeking consistency.

Morning take: Winning consistently in the NFL is one of the hardest things to do in sports. Philbin has yet to figure that out in two-plus seasons. But he must this season if he wants to prove he's the long-term solution.

  • Greg Cote of the Miami Herald writes Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill doesn't need to be great -- just consistently good.

Morning take: I agree if the Dolphins' goal is just to make the playoffs. But eventually Miami wants to win Super Bowls and that will require Tannehill to be great if he's the starter.

  • Greg Stoda of the Palm Beach Post writes the Oakland Raiders stink, but the Dolphins will take the win.

Morning take: They all count in the standings during the regular season. The Dolphins (2-2) did exactly what they are supposed to do against inferior competition Sunday in London with their blowout victory.

  • Dolphins receiver Mike Wallace tells the team site that he wouldn’t be denied for his touchdown reception.

Morning take: Wallace has three touchdowns in four games and is on a torrid pace. He’s having a stronger second season in Miami.
