Kings sign minor leaguers to contract extensions

LOS ANGELES -- The Los Angeles Kings have extended the contracts of two minor league forwards, the team and Kings president and general manager Dean Lombardi announced in a news release Friday.

Forwards Marc-Andre Cliche and Rich Clune, who played for the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League last season, signed two-year contracts.

Cliche played in 72 games for Manchester last season and finished the season with 41 points (17 goals, 24 assists). Cliche played one game for the Kings in 2009-10.

Clune, who played in 14 regular-season games and four playoff games for the Kings in 2009-10, appeared in 56 games for Manchester last season. He had 15 points (six goals, nine assists) for the Monarchs.

Both players are 25 years old.
