KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Practice was upside down for the Kansas City Chiefs on Tuesday. The starters won’t play in Thursday night’s preseason game at the St. Louis Rams, so those players worked on the scout team while the backups took the work normally reserved for the starters.
Here are the players who, based off what I saw in practice, will start for the Chiefs in St. Louis:
Offense
Quarterback – Chase Daniel
Running back – Spencer Ware and Darrin Reaves rotated
Wide receiver – Chris Conley, Frankie Hammond Jr., Da’Ron Brown and Fred Williams took turns
Tight end – Ryan Taylor, Demetrius Harris and James O’Shaughnessy rotated
Offensive line, left to right – Jarrod Pughsley, Daniel Munyer, Zach Fulton, Paul Fanaika, Derek Sherrod
Defense
DL – Mike Catapano, Rakeem Nunez-Roches, Nick Williams
ILB – Ramik Wilson, D.J. Alexander
OLB – Dezman Moses, Dee Ford
CB – Marcus Cooper, Steven Nelson
S – Eric Berry, Tyvon Branch
