Here's what the Chiefs can expect with the 234th pick

We’ll conclude our series looking at what the Kansas City Chiefs can expect from each of their 10 draft picks with the seventh-round choice, this one being No. 234 overall. Here are the five players selected with the 234th pick in each of the past five drafts.

2010: William & Mary defensive tackle Sean Lissemore was selected by the Dallas Cowboys. In three seasons with the Cowboys and two with the San Diego Chargers, Lissemore has 16 starts and 6.5 sacks.

2011: Missouri linebacker Andrew Gachkar was selected by the Chargers. Gachkar, who went to high school in the Kansas City area, has carved out a nice career for himself. He played four seasons for the Chargers with eight starts and recently signed as a free agent with the Cowboys.

2012: Nebraska offensive tackle Marcel Jones was selected by the New Orleans Saints. Jones has yet to play in a regular-season NFL game and is now with the Baltimore Ravens.

2013: Miami (Ohio) quarterback Zac Dysert was selected by the Denver Broncos. He too has yet to get into a regular-season game.

2014: Marist defensive end Terrence Fede was selected by the Miami Dolphins. Fede played in 11 games as a rookie with one sack.

The results here are mixed, which is to be expected in the seventh round. But three of these players have contributed in some manner, so the Chiefs don’t have to come up with nothing to show for this choice.
