Prediction: Dolphins will beat Jaguars

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jaguars did a good job stymieing Cleveland’s third-ranked rushing attack last week (69 yards, less than half of the 146.4 yards per game they had been averaging), but that was with Paul Posluszny in the lineup. Now that he’s gone for the season with a torn pectoral, the Jaguars are going to have a harder time dealing with the Dolphins’ ground game, which ranks fourth in the NFL (136.2 yards per game). The Jaguars’ offense has been inconsistent all season, and it will be facing a Dolphins defense that’s 10th against the rush and fourth against the pass. That’s not a good matchup for rookie quarterback Blake Bortles, who has thrown 10 interceptions in five games and is on pace to tie Peyton Manning’s rookie interception record (28). Turnovers will be killers because yards will be hard to come by.

My prediction: Dolphins 21, Jaguars 17
