Wake-up call: Thursday, Oct. 2

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Here's a preview of what to expect on Thursday regarding the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Rookie quarterback Blake Bortles makes his second start on Sunday against Pittsburgh. If history is any indication, not only will he play well but the Jaguars will beat the Steelers. Jaguars rookie quarterbacks have fared much better in their second start than their first and Bortles' situation is strikingly similar to the Jaguars' other rookie QBs.

This week's Question of the Week deals with what Jaguars players would be doing if they weren't playing professional football.

The Stat of the Week deals with the lack of success of the running game over the past several seasons.

The Jaguars hope that right tackle Austin Pasztor will be able to play this week, but it will be determined but how his broken right hand holds up in practice on Wednesday and Thursday. Coach Gus Bradley will update Pasztor's status at his news conference at approximately 3:20 p.m. EST.
