Colts preparing for the hype of AT&T stadium

INDIANAPOLIS -- Indianapolis Colts coach Chuck Pagano has never been to AT&T stadium, also known as "Jerry's World," in Dallas.

He's heard about it, though.

The high definition video screen that goes from 20-yard line to 20-yard line. The go-go girls dancing in the cages.

Pagano and the Colts will play there Sunday.

"It's probably one of the biggest things that I'm trying to educate our guys on through other people that have been there, played there and try to get them ready and prepared," Pagano said. "Not only to play the game, but to play in that stadium. I think what happens is you can go there and get enamored with all the things that I've heard and researched about the stadium itself, the jumbotron that covers the entire field and everything else that goes along with that stadium."

Colts safety Mike Adams has played at the stadium before. He's got advice for his teammates who are playing there for the first time.

"I tell the young guys go out there in pregame and start gazing," he said. "Start looking up, look at the cheerleaders on the pole, see how long the screen is, from 20 to the 20. Just get it all out of your system because once that ball's snapped and once the game starts going, you've got to stay focused."

The Cowboys aren't unbeatable at home. They're only 3-4 at home this season.

"As a player, you enjoy that type of atmosphere because that's what the NFL is going to become; it's for the fans," linebacker D'Qwell Jackson said. "It's like a spectacle. One thing you really have to understand is you have to stay in the moment, understand why you're there because you can get misled by the big jumbotron, the theatrics going on around you. It's hard enough to play a football game, let alone all the theatrics they have going on in that stadium."
