Mike Wells: I don’t see any of the players the Colts drafted this year starting, but I think a number of them have a chance to get some significant snaps. Phillip Dorsett obviously will be on the field at receiver or as the return specialist. D’Juon Smith is in position to be the fourth cornerback. Henry Anderson will back up Kendall Langford at defensive end. Clayton Geathers will challenge for snaps at safety. Same goes for David Parry at nose tackle. And running back Josh Robinson, who rushed for more than 1,000 yards at Mississippi State last season, will push for playing time backing up starter Frank Gore. Wells: The front seven is basically set outside of nose tackle and rush linebacker for two different reasons. Josh Chapman currently is the starter at nose tackle with Montori Hughes and David Perry expected to push him for the job. Trent Cole is the frontrunner to start at rush linebacker because Robert Mathis has yet to return to the field from his torn Achilles. The rest of the defensive line will be Kendall Langford and Art Jones. The other starting linebackers will be D’Qwell Jackson, Jerrell Freeman and Erik Walden. Wells: The Colts had an incredible locker room last season outside of Landry, who didn’t want anything to do with the media or much with his teammates, several people told me last season. Landry’s teammates went one way and the safety often went the other way. It doesn't work when everybody is not on the same page. It’s still early in the offseason, but there hasn’t been any indication that the Colts signed any players that could cause headaches inside the locker room.
