Phillip Dorsett has an impressive first week at OTAs

INDIANAPOLIS -- Indianapolis Colts first-round pick Phillip Dorsett wrapped up his first week of organized team activities with his veteran teammates by making a nice impression with them.

"It's definitely not too big for him," quarterback Andrew Luck said about the receiver. "He fits in very, very well."

Where Dorsett fits on the depth chart at receiver won't be determined until the team reports to training camp at Anderson (Ind.) University in early August. The one thing that is certain about Dorsett is that he has a lot of speed. You can expect him to line up at different spots on the field because the Colts said he's too talented for them not to find a way to get snaps for him.

T.Y. Hilton and Andre Johnson will likely be the Colts' top two receivers next season. Everything else is up for grabs. Dorsett will be competing against Donte Moncrief, Duron Carter and Vincent Brown to be the Colts' No. 3 receiver.

Dorsett averaged more than 24 yards a catch in his senior season at Miami, and he's about to be catching passes from Luck, one of the premier quarterbacks in the NFL.

"All of his balls are catchable, and he's so smart," Dorsett said about Luck. "He knows what to do. He knows where to put the ball."

Dorsett will get first crack at being the Colts' return specialist on punts and kicks. And, although his speed is definitely impressive, Dorsett also helped out his cause by picking up the offense fairly quickly.

"I feel like I'm getting it pretty well," he said. "I came from a pro-style offense with a lot of concepts in college. It's basically the same concepts just different names. There's a lot more verbiage and differently terminology. So it's something that you just have to learn and get used to it."
